  This was OL 2003 (thank G-d). &lt;br&gt; Now I have to decrypt all the data before I burn her DVDs. &lt;br&gt; A very long and very tedious job. &lt;br&gt; There has to be a better way.

  Some settings are shared, some are not. Outlook has its own dotxtemplate, so &lt;br&gt; while you can set themes in Outlook, ones you set in Word won&#39;t affect &lt;br&gt; email.

  You need to compact the pst - or wait, when there is some idle time, outlook &lt;br&gt; will kick off compacting. But.. I&#39;ve heard from a few people that compacting &lt;br&gt; doesn&#39;t work very good in Outlook 2007...

  Took all day. &lt;br&gt; What&#39;s worse, when I extracted data from the large PST to a newly created one I overshot &lt;br&gt; the ~4.5GB size and it became 5.05GB. I had remove email from that (sorting largest &lt;br&gt; attachment to smallest) to another. Moveed ~600MB but the file was still ~5.05GB so I had &lt;br&gt; to then compact it. That took more time.

  I had never heard of Xobni, but I just looked at their website. What&#39;s the &lt;br&gt; advantage over the Outlook built-in search? &lt;br&gt; She only has 1 Exchange account. The 3 OST files have 3 different date &lt;br&gt; stamps. I was told there should be only one in there. So I am guessing &lt;br&gt; that this happened because offline mode was turned off and back on, and when

  AFAIK (and I&#39;m not an Exchange expert) you can only open an OST file if you &lt;br&gt; re-create the Exchange Account which created it in the first place, other &lt;br&gt; than buying conversion software...

  finally got it working. slipstick said to put in the values in local &lt;br&gt; computer but when I looked in my desktop, there were no keys there for htm &lt;br&gt; or html or shtml so I deleted them out. now it is working fine. I won&#39;t &lt;br&gt; have to uninstall and reinstall ie8. thanks for the help though. charlie
