I recently installed a new linux and this was driving me nuts, so I figured someone else might be having the same problem and would appreciate the solution. We're going to use a CentOS 5.4 box to act as a wireless bridge between the ISP's tower and a neighbor's LAN. I would appreciate some help in getting started understanding the issues involved in using dhcp on both wireless interfaces simultaneously. ...Those appear to be previous-version backup copies of files edited using emacs. ...No they do not. The tilde is a part of the filename. What you might want to do is: $ mv *.c *.c~ backups1/ probably "safer" is: $ mv *.c* backups1/

...I suspect you are having problems with your DNS server. You could try running your own, BIND and unbound are the common choices. unbound is very fast and it's small. You could also try Google's caching DNS servers at 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4, you;ll find that they are a lot faster then your ISP's DNS servers.... Mehr »
