  I&#39;ve got the latest Quicktime installed. &lt;br&gt; I see the Quicktime frame (QT logo shows briefly), then within the &lt;br&gt; frame, all I&#39;m seeing is the CakePHP logo. &lt;br&gt; It&#39;s not clickable or anything (to play it), it&#39;s just sitting there. &lt;br&gt; There&#39;s no information to tell me what to do, so I&#39;ve just let it sit &lt;br&gt; there (thinking it&#39;s buffering), but no gold.

  This isn&#39;t a problem with CakePHP. &lt;br&gt; Short tags are an INI setting within your PHP installation. &lt;br&gt; Furthermore short tags are being completely removed or deprecated in &lt;br&gt; future PHP versions, so its just best practice to stop using them.

  The answer is to use RPX and one of the many providers, like Google, &lt;br&gt; OpenID, Twitter, whatever. &lt;br&gt; After the initial registration - which you can do when you&#39;re not at &lt;br&gt; your buddys house - all you ever need is username/password. &lt;br&gt; And that&#39;s neat. :) &lt;br&gt; Jacob
